Spring Ballerina Makeup

Hello Everyone! Happy April J Today’s makeup look is ballerina inspired. Lancome’s Spring 2014 line is called French Ballerine and features Lily Collins. This look is perfect for spring as it is delicate, fresh, pink and just reminds me of flowers. Face: 1. Start off by applying a tinted moisturizer or BB cream to your freshly moisturized skin. You can use your finger or a brush, either way, make sure to blend down your neck. We want the skin to be as fresh and dewy as possible so a tinted moisturizer and no face powder is the best option. Jessie’s Picks: Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Laura Mercier Tinted Moiturizer- Oil Free. 2. Next take a creamy concealer and blend it under your eyes, around your nose, and on any blemishes. Jessie’s Picks: Mac Studio Finish Concealer. YSL Touche Eclat. 3. Blend a baby pink blush onto the apples of your cheeks and up along your cheekbones. You can choose a cream or powder form blush, whatever you feel most comfortable working wit...

Super Sunday: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Makeup

Welcome to Super Sunday! Today's makeup look is inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge. HRH has a very classic look that has not really changed since she first came into the public eye over ten years ago. This makeup is perfect for any occasion and is actually quite simple to achieve. The black eye liner can be swapped for a navy blue, dark brown or dark grey depending on the event. Face: 1. Start with a freshly washed and moisturized face. Next take a medium coverage foundation and apply it all over your face and down your neck, blending well. Jessie's Picks: Make Up For Ever Invisible Coverage Foundation. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. 2. Blend a creamy concealer underneath your eyes, around your nose, and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. Mac Studio Finish Concealer. 3. Dust your face with a luminous powder, pressing the brush onto your face so as to not disrupt your foundation. Jessie's Picks: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Too...

Week's Fashion Inspiration Lookbook

Hello everyone! This week I though I would do something different; I'm combining Fashion Friday and Style Saturday making: Super Style Sunday. This post is my weekly inspiration lookbook. It's my outfit inspiration for each day of the week. I plan out my weeks outfits on Saturday or Sunday and usually each one is inspired by either the runway or celebrity. Along with the outfits I plan my hair and lipstick. My lipstick is really the only makeup thing that changes daily, my face and eye makeup pretty much always stays the same. So here are this week's fashion inspirations:  Monday: The Duchess of Cambridge. She has impeccable taste and makes jeans look elegant. The first of these outfits was worn in Canada :) So I just had to replicate it! I will be pairing my Sirens High Waisted Jeans (Size 26/30, keep in mind I'm 5'2), a simple black tank top, this men's blue blazer (used to be my brother's but now he's too tall, lol) and a pai...

What I got for Christmas 2013:

Hey guys! Sorry my blogmas kind of dwindled away, but I was really sick for the last week. SO I am now hopefully getting back into blogging regularly. So here's what I got (that it beauty related) for Christmas 2013: 1. Urban Decay Naked Palette. I'm a little late jumping on this band wagon, however I have heard so many amazing things about this palette that I am super excited to try it. My first impressions are that the eye shadows are very pigmented. 2. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Intense Black . This is the only liquid eye liner that I can use, and Stila does not irritate my eyes, or smudge, and it is the perfect shade of black. 3. Too Faced Beauty Blogger Darlings . This is the cutest gift set! The bronzer is so matte and smells like chocolate. I will do a review of all of the products in the set once I have used them all up. 4. Giorgio Armani Aqua di Gioia . This is my favourite perfume! and I am utterly in love with it. It is not too strong...

Blogmas Day 14: Little Mermaid 'Ariel' Makeup

Today's blogmas post is all about the Christmas pasts. The Little Mermaid was my favourite movie as a  child, and so for that, I give you: The Little Mermaid Makeup Look. Face: 1. Start with a light tinted moisturizer, just to even out your skin tone. 2. Lightly contour your face using a cream product. 3. Add a little peach cream blusher to your cheekbones. Eyes: 1. Apply a wash of shimmery cream colored eye shadow all across your eye lid. 2. Swipe black eye liner in a nice clean line across your upper lash line. 3. Follow with 3 coats of a black volumizing mascara. Lips: 1. Line your lips with a bright red lip pencil. 2. Fill in your lips with a matching matte red lip stick. Spritz your face with a setting spray to make it "waterproof" and you are ready to start your sea adventure!
