Spring Ballerina Makeup

Achieving the "No-makeup" makeup look isn't as hard as it looks, let us show you how. This look is a perfect blend of sexy and sweet for Spring 2013.
Hello Everyone! Happy April J Today’s makeup look is ballerina inspired. Lancome’s Spring 2014 line is called French Ballerine and features Lily Collins. This look is perfect for spring as it is delicate, fresh, pink and just reminds me of flowers.

Face:
1. Start off by applying a tinted moisturizer or BB cream to your freshly moisturized skin. You can use your finger or a brush, either way, make sure to blend down your neck. We want the skin to be as fresh and dewy as possible so a tinted moisturizer and no face powder is the best option. Jessie’s Picks: Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. Laura Mercier Tinted Moiturizer- Oil Free.

2. Next take a creamy concealer and blend it under your eyes, around your nose, and on any blemishes. Jessie’s Picks: Mac Studio Finish Concealer. YSL Touche Eclat.

3. Blend a baby pink blush onto the apples of your cheeks and up along your cheekbones. You can choose a cream or powder form blush, whatever you feel most comfortable working with. Jessie’s Picks: YSL Crème de Blush in Baby Doll. Benefit Boxed Powder in Dandelion.

Eyes:

1. Brush up your brows and fill in any sparse areas with a matching eye brow powder or eye shadow. Jessie’s Picks: Anastasia  Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duo. Clinique Brow Shaper.

2. Apply a wash of a light gold eyeshadow all across your lid. Jessie’s Picks: Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Easy Baked. L’Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Eternal Sunshine.

3. On a fluffy crease brush, blend a matte medium brow through your socket and gently buff away any harsh edges. Jessie’s Picks: Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Buck. Mac Eye Sahdow in Wedge.

4. Next grab a small accent brush, mix together the light gold and matte medium brown eye shadow, and run it along your lower lashline. This will create soft definition and appear more ethereal.

5. Take a black liquid eye liner and line your upper lashline with a thin, thin (very thin) line. Jessie’s Picks: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner in Black. Lancome Artliner in Noir.

6. Curl your lashes and apply a coat of black volumizing mascara. Jessie’s Picks: Rimmel Lash Accelerator Mascara. Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara.

Lips:
1. Prepare your lips by applying a deep conditioning lip balm. Jessie’s Picks: Dior Crème de Rose. Smith’s Rosebud Salve.

2. Apply a sheer petal pink lipcolor, starting from the centre of your lips working outwards. This does not have to be a heavy opaque application as the goal is to have a sheer wash of colour. Jessie’s Picks: YSL Volupte Sheer Candy in Juicy Grapefruit. Dior Addict Lip Glow.

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look and that you are excited for spring (I know I am).

xx

If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
