Today's makeup look is inspired by Spring! Although here Spring seems to be playing tricks on us as it is currently snowing while I'm typing away. Oh well! Maybe we can entice Spring into returning with our bright lipstick.   I started off by priming my skin with  Benefit the Porefessional . This primer fills in my pores and keeps make base makeup on all day. For my foundation, I chose  L'Oreal Lumi Foundation in N1, which leaves my skin with a nice glowy finish, which is a nice refreshment from the Winter mattes. As a highlighting concealer is used Rimmel 2 in 1 Match Perfection Concealer . I applied this in a triangle under my eyes, around my nose, on my forehead, and along the sides of my chin.  To conceal my blemishes I chose Revlon Colourstay Concealer . Hello everyone! Today's look is a quick and super simple bronze eye makeup. It is fresh, goes fabulous with any eye colour, and is great for days when you want to channel your inner Greek goddess.  1. Starting off, take a cream shimmery taupe eye shadow and apply it all over your eye lid. Slightly blend out the edges using your fingers.  Take a bit of product on a small eyeliner brush and run the colour along your lower lashline.  2. Next take a cream shimmery champagne eye shadow and apply it to the inner corner of your eye using your ring finger. I used Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded .   3. Take a flat eye shadow brush and add a dark bronze eye shadow onto the outer v of your eyelid, then blend it up into the crease. I used Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Smog from the original Naked Palette. If you follow me on Twitter, you will know that I am currently in the middle of the production process for a play. This involves long days, and long weeks. A number of people have asked me what I do on days when I feel tired but I still need to go to rehearsal and I want to look "fresh" so to speak.This is my super quick beauty routine that I have been turning to for the past few weeks. Face: 1.I start by applying Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream all over my face and down my neck. I apply this using my fingers, and I am currently wearing it in the shade Light/Medium. 2. This look is perfect for spring as it is delicate, fresh, pink and just reminds me of flowers. Face: 1. Start off by applying a tinted moisturizer or BB cream to your freshly moisturized skin. I realize that, especially in Canada, winter has been in full swing for the past 4 months, but let's be in the mindset that it is almost spring! And for the month of February we can resort to a few basic clothing choices to keep us warm and sane. I was on Pinterest earlier today and I got  lost in all of the pictures of models with top knots and bright lips, and so I was inspired to recreate their look. It is clean, and simple skin and eyes with a pop of bright on the lips. I love this look for the upcoming dreary winter days. Happy New Year! Another year has gone by, and that means another (or my first!) beauty favourites post. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Cleansing, toning, and then using a good moisturizer.  Base: 1. Apply a creamy concealer under your eyes, and then a long lasting liquid concealer over any blemishes, acne scars, or red spots. Here is just a quick daytime look inspired by Miranda Kerr's daily makeup routine. The focus is on healthy glowing skin with lush lashes and rosy lips. Hope you enjoy! 1. Start with super nourishing moisturizer. Argan Oil or Coconut Oil are great moisturizers as well as work great as a makeup base. 2. Smooth a nourishing tinted moisturizer or bb cream all over your face and neck. Miranda's pick is her KORA Organics Tinted Day Cream. Using a tinted moisturizer allows your own flush to come through, so there isn't really a need for blush; if you would like to wear blush, pick a cream blush in a natural hue. 3. Just a quick post to share a really neat trick that I learned. Trying to find a shade of eyeliner that suits your eye colour and makes your eyes pop is hard. So here's the trick: In a well lit room (preferably natural light), look directly into a mirror. The color around your iris is your perfect eye liner shade. Usually people have a ring of darker colour around their iris, and that is colour that I am talking about. Mine is a dark khaki brown shade.
