Style Sunday: Week's Fashion Inspiration Lookbook

Hello Everyone! Today's Style Sunday is this week's fashion inspiration lookbook. It is definitely supposed to be spring outside, but since it snowed about a foot last night, I'm going to be adding my winter cozies to all my spring clothes again.  Monday. It is supposed to be warm and sunny tomorrow but because it is going to be Monday I've turned to Mrs. Beckham for outfit inspiration as she always wears comfortable yet chic outfits. Not mention this one is all black which will suit my mood just fine. Tuesday. Another Queen of Comfy, Jessica Alba's oversized sweater, leggings, and boots outfit will be a welcome change on a cold Tuesday morning. There is nothing better then crawling out of warm and cozy pajamas into a warm and cozy outfit. Wednesday . It is supposed to have warmed up by Wednesday so a cute black dress with warm tights and ankle booties seems to be a good option. Thursday. Kim Kardashian has been loving the pencil skirt trend,

Beauty Thursday: Maybelline Super Stay Foundation Review

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Beauty Thursday. Today I am going to be doing a review of one of my favourite drugstore foundations. Foundation: Maybelline Super Stay 24hr Foundation Packaging: It comes in an open top glass bottle with a screw on cap. It does not come with a pump in North America.  Shade: Classic Ivory. This is not the lightest shade; it is currently a little bit dark for me but if I blend it down my neck you can't tell. Coverage: Medium - Full. You can sheer out this foundation by mixing it with moisturizer, or you can wear it full coverage.  Finish: Matte. Claims: Withstands heat, sweat and humidity.  No transfer- won't rub off.  Flexible, breathable coverage.  Oil-Free.  Suitable for all skin types.  Does it measure up?  Withstands heat, sweat and humidity. True, it does last a long time and there is no need for touch ups.   No transfer- won't rub off. Unfortunately this isn't true. You definitely don't wan

Super Sunday: Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Makeup

Welcome to Super Sunday! Today's makeup look is inspired by the Duchess of Cambridge. HRH has a very classic look that has not really changed since she first came into the public eye over ten years ago. This makeup is perfect for any occasion and is actually quite simple to achieve. The black eye liner can be swapped for a navy blue, dark brown or dark grey depending on the event. Face: 1. Start with a freshly washed and moisturized face. Next take a medium coverage foundation and apply it all over your face and down your neck, blending well. Jessie's Picks: Make Up For Ever Invisible Coverage Foundation. Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation. 2. Blend a creamy concealer underneath your eyes, around your nose, and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. Mac Studio Finish Concealer. 3. Dust your face with a luminous powder, pressing the brush onto your face so as to not disrupt your foundation. Jessie's Picks: Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. Too

Week's Fashion Inspiration Lookbook

Hello everyone! This week I though I would do something different; I'm combining Fashion Friday and Style Saturday making: Super Style Sunday. This post is my weekly inspiration lookbook. It's my outfit inspiration for each day of the week. I plan out my weeks outfits on Saturday or Sunday and usually each one is inspired by either the runway or celebrity. Along with the outfits I plan my hair and lipstick. My lipstick is really the only makeup thing that changes daily, my face and eye makeup pretty much always stays the same. So here are this week's fashion inspirations:  Monday: The Duchess of Cambridge. She has impeccable taste and makes jeans look elegant. The first of these outfits was worn in Canada :) So I just had to replicate it! I will be pairing my Sirens High Waisted Jeans (Size 26/30, keep in mind I'm 5'2), a simple black tank top, this men's blue blazer (used to be my brother's but now he's too tall, lol) and a pai

Fashion Friday: Menswear Inspired Fashion

Recently, many female celebrities have been rocking menswear inspired outfits. It is a trend I think everyone should try once. It works great for the office, school, or just everyday. Here are some examples of menswear inspired outfits along with some tips and tricks to getting the look just right. Tip to steal: When wearing a three piece suit, try to pick fitted items. A fitted and slightly cropped suit jacket will look more flattering than an oversized one which will only dwarf your figure. Many designers make fitted women's dress pants, and these are the best and most flattering options.   Tip to steal: Try wearing menswear in light or pastel colours. If you have chosen a more structured and less fitted piece, try it in a more feminine hue. Since it's spring (fingers crossed) pastel colours are all the rage. Tip to steal: Pairing a dress shirt with shorts and loafers is a great casual androgynous summer outfit. It creates a very classic and timeless shape. Ch

Beauty on a Budget: Drugstore Makeup Must Haves

Hello lovelies! Welcome to Makeup Monday! Today's post is my much requested: Drugstore Makeup Must Haves. All of the products are tried and true and have been repurchased at least once. As you shall soon see my biggest drugstore loves are lip sticks. However I did narrow it down to just 6 "items". It's actually more but whatever! Who's counting? 1. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. This is what I have been wearing as foundation since January. I used it during the summer and than purchased it in a lighter shade and fell in love with it all over again. It can be applied with your fingers or a brush and gives a gorgeous sheer coverage with a glowy finish. This is not for you if you want a lot of coverage from your foundation but if you use a heavy concealer this product is great for layering over top. It never cakes, has an SPF 30 and is oil-free. I own it in two shades: Light/Medium and Medium tint.  2 . Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush. These blushers

Super Sunday: My Spring Makeup Bag

Welcome to Super Sunday the Spring Edition.  These are the current products in my makeup bag. There are always many different items that are in and out of my bag, but these are the ones that I have been using everyday for the past month.  Avon Perfect Look Color Palette in Cool. This palette comes with four lip colours, four eye shadows, two blushes, and a powder. All of them are for cool toned skin and so are super flattering. I just use the powder from this palette but I like having it around because it gives me options.  Avon Colour Fold Up Palette . I use the darkest blush from this palette, it is a shimmery peachy pink shade. Again another huge palette that contains lots of bright eye  shadows perfect for spring.  Clinique Choco-Latte Eye Shadow Quad . I use the darkest colour from this quad for my brows. I fill them in using a little angled brush. Almay Intense Eye Color Trio for Hazels. These shadows are super pigmented and last all day. I use the lightest and medium

Style Saturday: Lipstick and Nail Polish Haul

Hello! Welcome to Style Saturday. As you can tell from the title this is not a fashion style post but a makeup-style post. I recently picked up a number of lip products as well a few nail polishes and I thought I would share them: These are the lip products I picked up . From L-R: Rimmel Lasting Finish in Asia, Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 14, Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 104, Revlon Super Lustrous in Blushing Mauve, Revlon Super Lustrous in Icy Violet, and Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Too Cool. Rimmel Lasting Finish in Asia. This is a mauve/brown shade that is in between Airy Fairy and Paradise. I really like the formula and finishes of Rimmel lip sticks so I think this will be a great daily neutral lip colour. Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 14.  I have never tried the Kate Moss line so I thought I would try this shade. It is a nude/pink shade that has a matte finish. I think this will be great with a smokey eye or winged liner. Rimmel Kate Lasting Finis
