Super Sunday: My Spring Makeup Bag

Welcome to Super Sunday the Spring Edition. These are the current products in my makeup bag. There are always many different items that are in and out of my bag, but these are the ones that I have been using everyday for the past month.

Avon Perfect Look Color Palette in Cool. This palette comes with four lip colours, four eye shadows, two blushes, and a powder. All of them are for cool toned skin and so are super flattering. I just use the powder from this palette but I like having it around because it gives me options.

Avon Colour Fold Up Palette. I use the darkest blush from this palette, it is a shimmery peachy pink shade. Again another huge palette that contains lots of bright eye  shadows perfect for spring.

Clinique Choco-Latte Eye Shadow Quad. I use the darkest colour from this quad for my brows. I fill them in using a little angled brush.

Almay Intense Eye Color Trio for Hazels. These shadows are super pigmented and last all day. I use the lightest and medium shade for my browbone and crease.

Almay Smart Shade CC Concealer and Brightener. This is a quite recent purchase and I love it. It offers a very sheer coverage but the formula is creamy and blends easily. The concealer has a peach undertone which is perfect for covering purple under eye circles, and the brightener is salmon toned which brightens (haha)  up your face when you add a touch to your brow bone and inner corner.

Too Face Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer in Medium/Deep. I use bronzer to contour everyday and this one is fantastic. It glides on smooth and smells like chocolate. This isn't too dark for my NC20 complexion, and will still be great when I am more tan in the summer.

Lancome Colour Focus Eye Shadow in Prop. I wear this eye shadow on my lid and it is the most perfect neutral I have ever seen. I stole  took borrowed this from my Mum (sorry Mum!).

Too Faced Shadow Insurance Eye Shadow Primer. I have used this everyday since December and it has never disappointed me. I have dry skin but sometimes get oily eye lids, and this primer keeps my eye shadow stay in place and vibrant.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation in 115. This is my go-to foundation. It is moisturizing, light reflecting, and has a dewy finish. The only problem is that it contains SPF 18 so it does cause flashback. But for everyday, when you're are not being photographed, it works great.

Maybelline Color Show Eye Kohl, Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner, Maybelline Gel Eye Liner all in Black. Yes, I keep three different eye liners in my makeup bag, in all 3 different formulas. I usually use all 3 at once: liquid along the top lashline, gel eye liner on the top water line, and sometimes kohl on the lower waterline. All 3 have great pigmentation and staying power.

Yves Rocher Ultra Volume Mascara Collector in Black. This mascara has a huge volumizing wand and the formula is smooth and long wearing. I love Yves Rocher products and this mascara didn't disappoint.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Stick in Blushing Mauve and Elizabeth Arden High Shine Lip Gloss in Carmella. These are the only 2 lip products I keep in my makeup bag. The others are all in a lipstick organizer on my makeup table. Obviously Blushing Mauve is a new addtion, but before I wore Mac Velvet Teddy topped with the Liz Arden lip gloss. The lip gloss has an icky smell (I find all Elizabeth Arden products do) but a gorgeous finish.

I hope you enjoyed this post! And let me know what's in your spring makeup bag.

xx

New Year's Eve is the perfect day/night to sport sparkling silver eye makeup, and who better to look to than Kim Kardashian. Eyes: 1. Prep your eye with a base. Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
