Hello everyone! I know most people's prom season is over, but I still wanted to film a more dramatic makeup look for you. So I tried to create one that was versatile and not too "prom-ish". This eye makeup is very dark but it will work for all skin tones and I used all drugstore eye products, so yay-affordable!  You can watch the video here : Face: Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in 2 Covergirl Translucent Powder Rimmel Highlighting Concealer Elf Bronzer in St Lucia How I did the eyes: 1. I primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden.  2. I applied Annabelle Kohl Eye Liner in Black Ink all over my eyelid, and then blended it with a flat eye shadow brush. Time to take pictures with the snow while it's still here! The weather forecast is predicting a rainy Christmas so I thought I should take advantage of the pretty snow while I could. Please observe the staple ice covered tree branches as well. Today was spent with my family doing a few last minute Christmas things and eating 5 more cupcakes.  I decided, yet again, to be comfy so I just wore a classic knit sweater and jeans. My jeans are from H&M and the sweater is from Fairweather (I also have it in a number of other shades). For makeup I used my Avon Perfect Color Palette in Cool which has a gorgeous range of aubergine eye shadows and cool pink blushes. My hair did its own thing today after I took down from a french braid, so I kind of just went with it. There is nothing better then being curled up inside while it is cold, grey and rainy outside. Every time the weather is like this I do the same makeup look. It is a gold and bronze smokey eye, with a peachy/pink cheek, and a neutral or red lip (depending on my mood). It is very simple, and takes about 10-15min. It pairs nicely with grey, black, burgundy and cream coloured clothes, so it is super versatile. It also works with most hairstyles, but I prefer to wear my hair straight with this look, as I just think it looks best on me. Face: 1. Start with a foundation primer and apply it all over your face. Choose one that best fits your skin type and skincare needs. For oily skin, Benefit's The Porefessional is great, it fills in your pores and makes your skin appear airbrushed.        Autumn is my absolute favourite season! I love the weather, fashion, makeup, and of course all the delicious food. Today's makeup look a daytime look inspired by the warm colours of nature during autumn. It focuses on warm eyes, healthy looking skin, and a warm lip.  Face: 1. Start with a medium coverage matte or semi-matte finish foundation and using your fingers or a brush, blend the product into your skin. Hello everyone! Welcome to Makeup Monday, today's makeup look is a natural and glowing summer look. It is super quick and very easy to do. This look is great for school, church, or for running errands. Face: 1. Start off with a matte or semi-matte foundation and apply it all over your face, making sure to blend it down your neck. I used Vichy Norma Teint Foundation this is a serum foundation that helps to control oil and prevent blemishes. 2. Next take an angled brush with a matte bronzer and contour your cheekbones, sides of your forehead, and underneath your job. I used the Elf Contouring Bronzer in St Lucia , this is a dark bronze with a little bit of shimmer, very similar to Nars Laguna. 3. My photographer was getting fancy with the camera. Hello everyone! Welcome to my first OOTD post. Today I went for a simple classic outfit. I wanted to be comfortable as I was just going to be around my house and running a few errands. So ultra glamour wasn't need.  I paired my black skirt from TopShop with a turquoise detailed top from Fairweather, and my shoes were just simple black wedges from Walmart (they were only $5). I also filmed a video about how to dress your "pear" bodyshape. I have a detailed post about this body type already written, and you can find that here . This outfit is great if your pear shaped because it highlights your waist and minimizes the hip area. Hello everyone! Today's look is a quick and super simple bronze eye makeup. It is fresh, goes fabulous with any eye colour, and is great for days when you want to channel your inner Greek goddess.  1. Starting off, take a cream shimmery taupe eye shadow and apply it all over your eye lid. Slightly blend out the edges using your fingers.  Take a bit of product on a small eyeliner brush and run the colour along your lower lashline.  2. Next take a cream shimmery champagne eye shadow and apply it to the inner corner of your eye using your ring finger. I used Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded .   3. Take a flat eye shadow brush and add a dark bronze eye shadow onto the outer v of your eyelid, then blend it up into the crease. I used Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Smog from the original Naked Palette. Hi everyone! Today's makeup look is for those days when you aren't feeling to well and you want to apply some makeup to help you look (and sometimes feel) better. I think that on days like this it is super important to use products that you know and love. This will help prevent any frustration or added annoyance when applying your makeup because you will know how each item "behaves". For this look I used minimal eye makeup as well as multitasking face products that way you don't feel like you have a thick layer of foundation lying on top of your skin.  Skin/Base: 1. Before I started I applied a mattifying moisturizer, and a thick lip salve to prep my skin and lips.  2. Hello Everyone! Sorry for my lack of posts, if you follow me on Twitter you will know I am the middle of production for a play right now, therefore I have no time for anything. That aside, today's post is just a quick spring haul. Last week my Mum and I popped into Stitches  for a browse and came out with all of this. First off, I got 15 pairs of socks for $5 (yes, you read that right). I got 2 packs of black and white patterns and one pack which is all vibrant neon coloured (not pictured). I got a very spring-esque peach, pink, and brown patterned scarf. This is so comfortable, soft, and warm; it goes perfectly with my jacket which is khaki green. I also grabbed some of their Aloe Makeup Remover Wipes. I picked up three cardigans, two which are two-toned (one black/grey the other beige/cream) as well as a peach coloured one. It is inspired by earth tones like mossy greens, beiges, mauves, and greys. This makeup is perfect if you are actually going on vacation in the English countryside, or if you just want to sport a fresh light makeup look. Face: 1. Welcome to my March Favourites 2014 Post! Unlike last month, which was mostly skin and hair care products, this month most of my favourites are beauty products. Only two of these products were actually purchased in the month of March, but they quickly became favourites. My first favourite is Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream , and I have this in the shade Light/Medium Tint. I have not worn foundation since January, instead I've been wearing this everyday. I read about it on Anna Saccone's blog and it is just a magnificent product. This is a gel based BB cream or tinted moisturizer. It has SPF 30 and creamy not too heavy texture. This provides a sheer coverage, however if you do have blemishes or acne scars, use this in conjunction with a heavy duty concealer like Vichy Dermablend or Maybelline Super Stay and it will provide a more natural looking base. Recently, many female celebrities have been rocking menswear inspired outfits. It is a trend I think everyone should try once. It works great for the office, school, or just everyday. Here are some examples of menswear inspired outfits along with some tips and tricks to getting the look just right. Tip to steal: When wearing a three piece suit, try to pick fitted items. A fitted and slightly cropped suit jacket will look more flattering than an oversized one which will only dwarf your figure. Many designers make fitted women's dress pants, and these are the best and most flattering options.   Tip to steal: Try wearing menswear in light or pastel colours. Hello lovelies! Welcome to Makeup Monday! Today's post is my much requested: Drugstore Makeup Must Haves. All of the products are tried and true and have been repurchased at least once. As you shall soon see my biggest drugstore loves are lip sticks. However I did narrow it down to just 6 "items". It's actually more but whatever! Who's counting? 1. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. This is what I have been wearing as foundation since January. I used it during the summer and than purchased it in a lighter shade and fell in love with it all over again. It can be applied with your fingers or a brush and gives a gorgeous sheer coverage with a glowy finish. This is not for you if you want a lot of coverage from your foundation but if you use a heavy concealer this product is great for layering over top. It never cakes, has an SPF 30 and is oil-free.
