Makeup Monday: Dramatic Midnight Smokey Eye- Prom, Clubbing, Wedding

Hello everyone! I know most people's prom season is over, but I still wanted to film a more dramatic makeup look for you. So I tried to create one that was versatile and not too "prom-ish". This eye makeup is very dark but it will work for all skin tones and I used all drugstore eye products, so yay-affordable!

You can watch the video here:

Face:
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer in Radiance

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in 2

Covergirl Translucent Powder

Rimmel Highlighting Concealer

Elf Bronzer in St Lucia

How I did the eyes:
1. I primed my eyes with Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden.
2. I applied Annabelle Kohl Eye Liner in Black Ink all over my eyelid, and then blended it with a flat eye shadow brush. I also ran it underneath my eye and blended it out.

3. Over top of the blended liner I applied a shimmery dark blue eyeshadow from Avon all over my lid, and aalong my lower lashline. By putting the eyeliner underneath it intensifies the colour and helps it last.

4. Using a fluffy crease brush I blended a matte taupe eye shadow, from the Hard Candy Birthday Suit Palette, through my crease. This softens the harsh edges of the blue eye shadow and creates a gradient and balanced effect.

5. On a flat eye shadow brush I dusted a matte cream eye shadow (also from the Hard Candy palette, which I will be doing a review of on Wednesday) along my brow bone as a highlight and a way to soften the look even more.

6. Taking an angled brush and Essence Gel Eyeliner in Midnight in Paris ( a matte black), I created a thick wing, and lined my upper lashline.

7. I then lined my upper and lower waterlines with Rimmel Waterproof Kohl Eyeliner in Black.

8. Finally, I applied two coats of mascara to my upper and lower lashlines.

Brows and Lips:

Beautique Brow Pencil in Light Brown

Maybelline Brow Sculptor in Dark Brown

Nars Satin Lip Pencil in Rikugien

I hope you like this makeup look as it is a little different from what I normally do!

xx
Jess

New Year's Eve is the perfect day/night to sport sparkling silver eye makeup, and who better to look to than Kim Kardashian. Eyes: 1. Prep your eye with a base. Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
