Makeup Monday: Glowing Natural Summer Makeup

Hello everyone! Welcome to Makeup Monday, today's makeup look is a natural and glowing summer look. It is super quick and very easy to do. This look is great for school, church, or for running errands.

Face:

1. Start off with a matte or semi-matte foundation and apply it all over your face, making sure to blend it down your neck. I used Vichy Norma Teint Foundation this is a serum foundation that helps to control oil and prevent blemishes.

2. Next take an angled brush with a matte bronzer and contour your cheekbones, sides of your forehead, and underneath your job. I used the Elf Contouring Bronzer in St Lucia, this is a dark bronze with a little bit of shimmer, very similar to Nars Laguna.

3. Take a shimmery peach blush and apply it to the apples of your cheeks and blend upwards. I used the blush from the Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer in St Lucia, very similar to Nars Amour.

Eyes:
1. Choose a matching brow powder and using a small angled brush fill in your eyebrows. I used the Elf Eyebrow Kit in Dark similar to the Benefit Brow Zings.

2. Take a cool pink cream eyeshadow and apply that all over your eyelid and along your lower lashline. You can use your finger or a brush, I used my finger and applied Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo in Inked in Pink.

3. Using a flat eye shadow brush apply a cool toned bronze eyeshadow over top of the cream shadow you just applied. You can really pat this colour on as the cream shadow will cause it to stick and create a different dimension. I used YDK from the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette.

4. Tightline your upper lashline with a black eye liner pencil. Just take the point of the pencil and rub it in between the lashes, this will create soft definition and a fuller lash effect. I used a black liner from Beautique Beauty.

5. Run a creamy nude eye liner pencil along your lower waterline to create a wide eyed effect. A nude coloured pencil is a lot softer than using a white pencil. I used Rimmel Scandaleyes Kajal Pencil in Nude.

6. Curl your lashes and apply a black/brown volumizing mascara to both your upper and lower lashes. Using a black/brown mascara will create a softer eye look than if you were to use a dark black mascara. Black/brown mascara is a lot more flattering and natural looking. I used Maybelline Great Lash BIG Mascara in Brownish Black.

Lips:
1. For the lips apply a creamy dark brown/raspberry nude to your lips, I used the Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle but some other great colours Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Asia or Paradise.

That is the completed look I hope you enjoyed it and if you'd like to see exactly how I created this makeup please watch the video:

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Mac Moisturecover Concealer. TheBalm Time Balm Concealer. 3. On a big fluffy face brush buff a matte powder foundation all over your face and down your neck. Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
