Hello everyone! I bring you yet another lace filled ootd. If you can't tell, lace is my favourite, and so is leopard print... So I combined both today! My dress is from a thrift store, so I'm not sure what brand it is, but I've never really liked how it looked on me, I found that it drew attention right to my hip area which seemed unflattering. I decided to give it another try and I think it is actually quite cute, even if it is a little unflattering. My shoes are from the Gap and were a Christmas gift from my parents. A big addition to my leopard family these shoes help to fuel my obsession with the print, and believe me, I own a lot of leopard.  My hair is still a bit wavy from curling it two days ago, and on my lips is Rimmel Apocalips Lips Lacquer in Big Bang.  If you want to see how I did my makeup like this you can watch the video below. Hello everyone! Today's OOTD is my favourite summer look. Lace, loose waves, and a natural makeup look. It was nice and warm today so I brought out one of my favourite dresses. It is from American Eagle, and was given to me by one of my friends a few years ago. I like that it is strapless as when I am outside enjoying the sunshine I don't have to worry about awkward tan lines! Happy Saturday! Today it was 5 degrees here so I finally got to break out my cape. I've been seeing them in all of the magazines and cursing Canadian weather for being so cold. But alas my luck has changed and we have had a warm spell! This cape I bought at a vintage store about 5 years ago and haven't really worn it until now, but my style has developed since then and I thought I'd be more daring and try it. My jeans are from H&M, the knit sweater was a Christmas present, it is from American Eagle, and I really like the way that the different textures of the cape and sweater make the outfit more interesting. My boots we just bought today and they are from the Shoe Company.  I haven't been wearing makeup much this week since I am just at home and I really didn't feel like putting on makeup just to take these pictures, so it is just my face in these pictures. Eyeliner seems to be the bane of every non-makeup addicts existence... Although maybe some makeup addicts as well. So many people have told me that they don't wear eye liner because it terrifies them and they don't know how to do it. So instead of telling each person how to apply eyeliner, I thought that it would be way easier to make a video! So I made my brother hold a camera for 15min so I could film this spectacle.  You can watch that step by step video  here . (Please excuse the shaky camera, my poor brother had no tripod to help him) A few misconceptions about eyeliner: 1. NO you will not poke your eye out. 2. Black is NOT the shade for everyone. If you are anything but dark haired please, please, please wear brown, grey or blue... Anything but black! it is not flattering at all if you are very fair. 3. Liquid liner is NOT the only way to get a dramatic or daytime look. I honestly prefer Gel/Cream and pencil liner... Liquid is just plain scary...

  Welcome to Style Saturday! Today was nice, sunny and only -12 (yes you read that right). It's my first full day home for the Winter break so I spent it enjoying my family and decorating our Christmas tree. I decided to be comfy today so I chose to wear a warm knit turtlenecked jumper and some high-waisted jeans. The knit sweater is my Mom's and I think quite old so I'm not too sure wear it if from; it has really nice detailing on the sleeves and that just makes the sweater a little bit more glam. The jeans are from Sirens and are very stretchy. I prefer the dark wash jeans as they hide a multitude of sins like that half round of cheese I just ate . Even though they are highwaisted they are still comfortable to sit in and that is a win in my books. The outfit was super comfy, simple and warm which is perfect for our Canadian winter.  For my beauty routine I kept it very simple with well moisturized skin, natural makeup and I just wore my hair in a ponytail....

Today's makeup look is inspired by all the cosy Winter knits. It is soft, gold, and glowing, kind of like firelight. The eyes are a shimmery soft gold and champagne, paired with peachy gold cheeks, and lips. Face: 1. Start with a moisturizing face primer, and using a flat foundation brush blend it all over your face. Try: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer or Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer. 2. Using the same brush blend a tinted moisturizer into your skin, making sure to bring it down the next. By using more hydrating base products it will protect your skin from all the harsh drying elements of winter. If you don't have a tinted moisturizer simple mix a little bit of your face moisturizer into your foundation or concealer. Hello everyone! Welcome to Makeup Monday, today's makeup look is a natural and glowing summer look. It is super quick and very easy to do. This look is great for school, church, or for running errands. Face: 1. Start off with a matte or semi-matte foundation and apply it all over your face, making sure to blend it down your neck. I used Vichy Norma Teint Foundation this is a serum foundation that helps to control oil and prevent blemishes. 2. Next take an angled brush with a matte bronzer and contour your cheekbones, sides of your forehead, and underneath your job. I used the Elf Contouring Bronzer in St Lucia , this is a dark bronze with a little bit of shimmer, very similar to Nars Laguna. 3. She also had incredible style and makeup, and so today's post is my take on my favourite of her daily makeup looks, which is very natural but polished. I loved her makeup back in July of 2013 and so that is mostly the look I am going to try and recreate.  Face: 1. Take a full coverage concealer, and dot it under your eyes, on any blemishes, or acne scars. Hello Everyone! Today's makeup look is a soft natural daytime look. This look is perfect for everyday as it is glowy and fresh with nothing too heavy. This is my go to makeup look recently as I love me a glowy bronze natural look.  Face: 1. Start off by applying a tinted moisturizer or bb cream to your face and blend outwards using your fingers. This will create a nice dewy, sheer finish. I used Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Medium/Deep.  2. Next dab a highlighting concealer underneath your eyes in a v shape, around you nose, and onto you chin. Blend this with a dense concealer brush. I used Rimmel 2 in 1 Match Perfection Concealer in Light/ Medium 3. Take a bronzing powder on an angled brush and contour your face. Today's Beauty on a Budget is all about pink lipstick. These four lipsticks are my absolute favourite, and as each is a different shade and finish there is something for everyone.  L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in 165 Tickled Pink.  This is a super bright, frosty pink. It has a creamy texture and great lasting power. Beacuse it has such a frosted finish this lipstick isn't to everyone tastes but it suits most skin tones and can be worn with a lot of other colours. Covergirl Lipstick in 445 Pink Chic.  Another frosty pink, this lipstick might not even be available anymore. It is a cool pink, a very baby pink shade with a silvery glitter. Hello everyone! I'm officially back from the land of pre-production mindlessness. Since I've been gone it has turned into May so it time to break out the pretty spring lip colours. I prefer nude lip colours all year round but especially during the spring and summer. So today's post is my favourite nude lipsticks. For about the past month I have been wearing the same eye and face makeup everyday, and I have really liked having the same everyday routine. For me there has been something very calming and reassuring about doing the same thing every morning. However I am still a lover of change and so I have been using different lip sticks depending on my mood (which I think a lot of people do?) and there are about 5 that I turn to on various days. 1. Revlon Lip Butter in Creme Brulee and Sugar Frosting. I love these lip butters for the days when I don't feel like making the commitment to lip stick and I just want something that gives my lips a bit of colour and finishes off my makeup. Creme Brulee is a nude brown shade that almost blanks out your lips, but in a good nude lip kind of way (great description I know). And as you probably guessed from the pictures, it is going to be a simple ponytail and fresh faced makeup look (my favourite!). This look can work any day of the week but  Mondays and Fridays instantly come to mind. So here we go and hope you enjoy: Let's start with the hair: This look works best on day old hair, but you have just gotten out of the shower, scrunch a thickening mousse through your hair and then blow dry smooth with a paddle brush. Regardless of where you started take a large paddle brush and brush your hair back into a high ponytail.
