Soft Warm Winter Makeup

Gray knits. These look so comfy cozy URGH! childofsummer.tumblr.comSweater winter warm pink lightComforting as a big pile of warm sweaters. #softestthings #comfythings #favoritethings

Today's makeup look is inspired by all the cosy Winter knits. It is soft, gold, and glowing, kind of like firelight. The eyes are a shimmery soft gold and champagne, paired with peachy gold cheeks, and lips.

Face:
1. Start with a moisturizing face primer, and using a flat foundation brush blend it all over your face. Try: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer or Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer.

2. Using the same brush blend a tinted moisturizer into your skin, making sure to bring it down the next. By using more hydrating base products it will protect your skin from all the harsh drying elements of winter. If you don't have a tinted moisturizer simple mix a little bit of your face moisturizer into your foundation or concealer. Try: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer or Clinique Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturizer.

3. Dab a luminous concealer underneath your eyes in a v-shape to highlight, around your nose, and above the browbone. Take the foundation brush and blend the concealer so that there are no harsh lines. Try: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat or Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer.

4. Mattify your face and set your base using a pressed powder. Take a fluffy face brush and dust the powder through your t-zone, and lightly underneath your eyes to set the concealer.

5. On a angled brush contour your face using a matte bronzer or contouring powder. Buff the powder underneath your cheekbones, sides of your forehead, and along your jawline. Take whatever is left on the brush and glide it down your neck to make sure your face matches your body. Try: Benefit Hoola Bronzing Powder or Sephora Collection Bronzer in Los Cabos.

6. To create a glowing peachy cheek take a blush brush and a peach blush and apply it along your cheekbones, and then add a little pop to the apples of your cheeks. Try: Nars Blush in Sex Appeal or Elf Blush in St Lucia (Blush and Bronzer Duo)

Eyes:
1. Prime your eye lids using a cream eye shadow base, pick a champagne or gold colour with so shimmer. This base will give the powder eye shadow something to cling to. Try: Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Branded or Mac Paint Pot in Bare Study.

2. Brush through your brows with a brow comb, the using a small angled brush and a brow powder that matches your eyebrows, fill in any sparse areas. Use small feathery strokes to avoid any harsh lines. After you have finished brush through your brows again to soften any edges. Try: Elf Brow Kit or Benefit Browzings.

3. To start, highlight your browbone and inner corner of your eyes by sweeping a shimmery white eyeshadow and applying underneath your eyebrow, and into the inner corner. Try: Urban Decay Eyeshadow in Polyester Bride or Maybelline Eye Shadow Single in Vanilla.

4. Sweep a shimmery champagne/peach coloured eye shadow across your eye lid in a general wash. Try: Nars Single Eyeshadow in Night Star or Maybelline Eye Shadow Single in Champagne Fizz.

5. Using a fluffy eyeshadow brush blend a warm brown eyeshadow through the crease, and on the outer third of your eyelid.. This will create warmth and depth. Try: Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Buck or Maybelline Eye Shadow Single in Constant Toast.

6. Next take a creamy black eye liner pencil and apply the eyeliner, along your upper waterline and to the outer third of your top lashline. Then take an angled brush and smudge the eyeliner towards the inner corner of your eye to soften the line and create soft definition. Try: Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-on Eye Liner in Perversion or Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Eye Pencil in Black.

7. Line your bottom waterline with a creamy nude waterproof eye pencil. This will open up your eye and make you appear more youthful and awake. Try: Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Eye Pencil in Nude or Tarte Lights Camera Lashes Inner Rim Liner.

8. Curl your eye lashes with either an eye lash curler or a cold spoon and then apply 2-3 coats of a black mascara. Try: Covergirl LashBlast Volume or Tarte Lights, Camera Lashes.

Lips:
1. Take a nude lipliner pencil and line your lips. Tilt your head upwards and line from the bottom up using curved strokes. This will make your lips appear fuller (more like Kylie Jenners). Try: Mac Stripdown or Rimmel Lip Liner in Rose Quartz.

2. Now take a creamy nude lip stick and apply it all over your lips. Try: Mac Creme de Nude or Rimmel Kate 14.

That's the completed look! It is very quick, simple, and creates a fresh and youthful look. This makeup goes with most colours so you can just grab your favourite cosy knit and snuggle up!

Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
