Summer Foundations

Hi everyone! Summer is finally here! This post is just a quick look at some great summer foundations. I went away camping for a weekend and got nice and tan so I can finally switch to my darker shades.

Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream in Light/Medium. If you are looking for a sheer coverage tinted moisturizer, this is the product for you. It has a heavier texture which can be uncomfortable on a humid day, but on a cloudy day this is a great base. It can be worn alone or under foundation. It actually has a really nice semi-matte finish when set with a setting powder, or a dewy finish if worn by itself.

Vichy Norma Teint Anti-Blemish Foundation in Sand. This foundation is perfect for acne prone skin. It is almost like a serum, very liquid like, but it has great coverage and lasting power. I don't suffer from acne or a lot of pimples, but of I do have a bit of a break out this foundation doesn't irritate it further and keeps it from spreading.

Clinique Even Better Foundation in Golden Neutral. My go-to foundation for any special events when I want to wear an "actual" foundation. This is a light-medium coverage, it has a natural semi-matte finish, and doesn't need to be set with a powder. It photographs beautifully and the SPF 15 doesn't cause flashback. IT looks incredibly natural both indoors and out, and is just a great all around foundation.

Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream in Medium Tint. Since my camping vacation I have actually had to purchase this in a darker shade, Medium-Deep. This BB cream is a sheer-light coverage and has a nice, light texture. It has an SPF30 which is perfect for everyday, and it blends beautifully with all powder and cream products. This what I wear everyday. I have been wearing it since January, and I own it about 4 different shades, none of which have disappointed me.

Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation in C4. I use the powder foundation as my setting powder, as it provides a little extra coverage and I find this powder keeps my face matte for longer. This foundation can be built up to a full coverage and it is a great option for people with oily skin. I have quite dry skin, but I've never had an issue with this foundation sticking to dry patches, or causing my skin to feel parched. I've had this foundation for almost 2 years, used it tons, and I still have barely put a divet in it, so it is worth the investment.

I hope you enjoyed this post and that it helps you out when you are looking around for a new summer foundation.

New Year's Eve is the perfect day/night to sport sparkling silver eye makeup, and who better to look to than Kim Kardashian. Eyes: 1. Prep your eye with a base. Be it a cream shadow, a paint pot, or an actual eye shadow primer, it does not matter, it just gives the  eye shadow  and glitter something to adhere to. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Primer Potion. Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Dangerous Cuvee. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eye Shadow in Galaxy. 2. Apply a matte grey eye shadow all over the lid. Jessie's Picks: Stila Eye Shadow in Diamond Lil. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Li

Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Mac Moisturecover Concealer. TheBalm Time Balm Concealer. 3. On a big fluffy face brush buff a matte powder foundation all over your face and down your neck. Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
