Prom Makeup Using Urban Decay Naked Palette

Today's makeup look is a Prom eye makeup tutorial using the Naked Palette. I know a lot of proms have already happened, but there are still a bunch of proms coming up, including mine; so even if your prom has passed this is a great look for a special event or an evening out.

Step One: Start by priming your eyes with an eye shadow primer. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Primer Potion. Mac Prep and Prime.

Step Two: Using a flat eye shadow brush, take the colour Virgin and apply it to your brow bone and the inner corners of your eye.

Step Three: Flip that brush over, and using the other side apply Toasted all over your eye lid. On an eye liner brush run Toasted along your lower lashline.

Step Four: Take a crease brush and apply Hustle into your crease and drag it onto the outer corner of you lid. If you have hooded eyes you can bring the colour slightly up onto your browbone.  Taking an eye liner brush add a little bit of Toasted along the outer third of your lower lashline.

Step Five: On another flat eyeshadow brush, take Sidecar and pat it onto the centre of your eyelid. Next on an eye liner brush add it to the centre of your lower lashline.

Step Six: Take a black gel eyeliner on an eye liner brush and apply it to your upper waterline/tightline. Jessie's Picks: Mac Blacktracks. Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Eye Liner.

Step Seven: Curl your lashes and apply two coats of a volumizing waterproof mascara. Jessie's Picks: Covergirl LashBlast Volume. Dior Diorshow Mascara.

Step Eight: To ramp up the glam pop on a pair of false lashes. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Black Velvet Lashes. Mac Lashes 36.

Hope you all enjoyed this makeup look!

Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Mac Moisturecover Concealer. TheBalm Time Balm Concealer. 3. On a big fluffy face brush buff a matte powder foundation all over your face and down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Bare Mineral Matte Foundation Bro...

Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
