New Year's Eve Makeup: Kim Kardashian Style

New Years Eve Makeup (Kim Kardashian Vegas Shoot look ) | Idea Gallery | Makeup Geek

New Year's Eve is the perfect day/night to sport sparkling silver eye makeup, and who better to look to than Kim Kardashian.

Eyes:
1. Prep your eye with a base. Be it a cream shadow, a paint pot, or an actual eye shadow primer, it does not matter, it just gives the eye shadow and glitter something to adhere to. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Primer Potion. Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Dangerous Cuvee. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Cream Eye Shadow in Galaxy.
2. Apply a matte grey eye shadow all over the lid. Jessie's Picks: Stila Eye Shadow in Diamond Lil. Nars Single Eye Shadow in Lhasa.
3. Using a flat eye shadow brush apply a subtle glitter all over your lid, don't worry if any falls on your skin, as you can wipe it away before you apply your foundation. Jessie's Picks: Make Up For Ever Glitter in Silver 2. Mac Pigment in Silver Fog.
4. Take a black gel eye liner, and line your upper lash line, creating a flick. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Liner. Revlon Gel Eye Liner.
5. Take a black pencil eye liner, and line your lower lash line right into the inner corner. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Pencil in Black Ice. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Zero.
6. Curl your eye lashes and apply 2 coats of a black volumizing mascara. Benefit Cosmetics They're Real Mascara. Clinique High Impact Mascara.
7. Apply some corner lashes to complete the eye makeup look.

Face:
1. Start with a mattifying primer. Because we are going heavy on the eyes, and we want the makeup to last all night, using a matte base is the best choice. Jessie's Picks: Becca Ever-Matte Poreless Priming Perfector. Korres Pomegranate Mattifying Primer.
2. Using a flat foundation brush, apply a matte foundation all over your face, and down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Becca Ever-Matte Shine Proof Foundation. Bobbi Brown Long Wear Even Finish Foundation.
3. Contour and highlight your face using a cream bronzer and highlighter. If you cannot find a good cream bronzer, pick a cream foundation in a darker shade. Jessie's Picks: Chanel Soleil de Tan. Illamasqua Cream Foundation in CF325. Benefit Cosmetics Watts Up. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector.
4. Set your face with a dusting of translucent powder. Jessie's Picks: URBAN DECAY

Naked Skin Ultra Definition Pressed Finishing Powder. Bobbi Brown Brightening Finish Powder.

Lips:
1. Line your lips in a nude lip liner.
Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Lip Liner in Beige. Smashbox The Nude Lip Liner.
2. Fill in your lips using a creamy nude lip stick. Jessie's Picks: Nars Lip Stick in Honolulu Honey. Mac Lip Stick in Creme de Nude.

Set everything with a setting spray to make sure it lasts all night.

If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
