Blogmas Day 3: Taylor Swift Makeup (sans red lip)

taylor swift brit awards 2013

T- Swift's makeup at the 2013 Brit Awards was beautiful then, and would be stunning at a holiday party, especially to liven up an ugly sweater.

Base:
1. Smooth a foundation primer all over your face. Preferably pick one that photo's well as who knows how many pictures will be taken. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. Smashbox Photo Finish Light Foundation Primer.
2. Buff a light medium coverage foundation into your skin, working a downward circular motions. Jessie's Picks: Make Up Forever HD Foundation. Illamasqua Skin Base Foundation.
 3. Blend a bronze rose blush along your cheekbones to create a slight contour. Jessie's Picks: Nars Blush in Dolce Vita. Benefit Cosmetics Rockateur Box Powder.

Eyes:
1. Take a shimmery nude eyes shadow and apply it as a wash all over your eyelid. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in All That Glitters. Tarte Beauty and the Box Amazonian Clay Eye Quad "in the buff"- second lightest shade.
2. Take a shimmery copper coloured eye shadow and blend it through your crease and along the outer corner of your eyelid. Jessie's Picks: Tarte Beauty and the Box Amazonian Clay Eye Quad "in the buff"- 3rd lightest shade (orange bronze). Mac Eye Shadow in Coppering.
3. Take a black liquid eyeliner and line the entire top lash line in a quite thick line. Open your eyes and draw a line from the outer corner of your eye, connect to your original line to create the perfect and most flattering cat eye. Jessie's Picks: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eye Liner. Eyeko Skinny Liquid Eye Liner.
4. On a small brush, take the shimmery copper colour that you used in your crease and run it along your bottom lash line.
5. Take a shimmery cream coloured eye shadow and dab it into your inner corners. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Rice Paper. Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Virgin.
6. Curl your lashes and apply 2 coats of lengthening mascara. If you really want to amp up the glamour add some falsies. Look for one that are longer at the outer corners as this will enhance the cat eye affect.

Lips:
1. Apply a pinky nude lip gloss all over your lips, starting in the centre and blending outwards. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Lip Junkie Lipgloss in Naked2. Nars Lipgloss in StripTease.

Finally dust your face with a setting powder and mist with a setting spray to help it last all through the party.

Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
