       Autumn is my absolute favourite season! I love the weather, fashion, makeup, and of course all the delicious food. Today's makeup look a daytime look inspired by the warm colours of nature during autumn. It focuses on warm eyes, healthy looking skin, and a warm lip.  Face: 1. Start with a medium coverage matte or semi-matte finish foundation and using your fingers or a brush, blend the product into your skin. If you have fairly good skin don't apply foundation everywhere, just dab it where you need a little coverage or skip this step all together.  Clinique Even Better Foundation or Maybelline Superstay 24hr Foundation. 2.  To brighten up your under eye area and keep you looking fresh and awake, apply a light concealer underneath your eyes in a V shape. She also had incredible style and makeup, and so today's post is my take on my favourite of her daily makeup looks, which is very natural but polished. I loved her makeup back in July of 2013 and so that is mostly the look I am going to try and recreate.  Face: 1. Take a full coverage concealer, and dot it under your eyes, on any blemishes, or acne scars. HRH has a very classic look that has not really changed since she first came into the public eye over ten years ago. This makeup is perfect for any occasion and is actually quite simple to achieve. The black eye liner can be swapped for a navy blue, dark brown or dark grey depending on the event. Face: 1. Start with a freshly washed and moisturized face. I recently picked up a number of lip products as well a few nail polishes and I thought I would share them: These are the lip products I picked up . From L-R: Rimmel Lasting Finish in Asia, Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 14, Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 104, Revlon Super Lustrous in Blushing Mauve, Revlon Super Lustrous in Icy Violet, and Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Too Cool. Rimmel Lasting Finish in Asia. This is a mauve/brown shade that is in between Airy Fairy and Paradise. I really like the formula and finishes of Rimmel lip sticks so I think this will be a great daily neutral lip colour. Today's makeup look is inspired by the lovely Megan Fox. It is a sweet daytime look that focuses on long lashes, defined brows, and stained lips. This is perfect for enhancing all of your features but does not make them compete for focus. So let's get started! Face: 1. Start by taking a tinted moisturizer or BB cream and, using a foundation brush, blend it all over your face and down your neck. Happy March! I recently reorganized my makeup table and I thought I would share with you what it looks like and how I keep it organized. I will follow up with a post on my blogging table. I apologize for the dark photos but today there was no sunlight as it was snowing and cloudy. Oh these wonderful winter days!  This is my makeup table :) It is actually a computer table with green fabric draped over it. I have decorated it with fake flowers, and my Eiffel Tower shaped jewelry stand (a gift from my brother). I also have some books which I take makeup inspiration from, and little candle holders that I use for my earrings. This is a green plastic organizer I picked up from the Dollar Tree.  I really love the neon green colour because it reminds me of spring and it matches my green fabric. It has 3 different sections which are perfect for my brushes and make them much easier to find and manage. In the back section I keep my hair styling products. I separate my face brushes...

Today's Fab February is the sequel to my last post. All of these fashion ideas are what I have amalgamated after doing a lot of research into French fashion. Tips on Dressing Parisian Chic: 1. Slim Cut Pants . There is the saying that "jeans are a Frenchwoman's sweat pants", and I have to believe that is true. Slim cut pants are the best choice for everyday as they can be paired with any top. You can get straight cut khakis for the spring and summer, and slim black pants work great for day and night. 2. Flats and Heels . I realize this is kind of counteractive but both style are worn frequently in Paris. Flats make an outfit more casual, and 2-3 inch heels add elegance. When choosing the shoes pick neutral nudes, black, and grey in classic styles. 3. Trench Coat. This is your best friend in the Spring, Fall, and Winter. It doesn't get overly cold in Paris (in respect to Canada at least) but a warm trench coat is a great piece to have in your wardrobe. Bl...

Today's Fab February is the final part of my spring series as well as a mini haul. My favourite makeup look for spring is light eyes with a bright lip. Keep your face and eye makeup light with just a tinted moisturizer, a champagne eye shadow, and a nice rosy blush. After you've done that pop on a bright lip and enjoy the sunshine. 1. Starting the night before wash you hair; now before you go to bed separate your hair as if you are putting it in pigtails.  2. Grab one “pigtail” and start to twist it. Twist your hair all the way until it begins to twist on it elf. Now take you twisted pigtail and pin it on top of your head. You can use butterfly clip or bobby pins. I, personally, find long dance bobby pins the most comfortable to sleep in. You really should not feel the clips that much unless you sleep in a headstand.  3. Do the same to the other pigtail. 4. In the morning, take down your pigtails and unravel them. You now should have nice curly waves.  5. Flip you head upside down and spray with a loose hold hairspray.  If you need to, tease the roots with a fine toothed comb to add volume. Today's Fab February is looking ahead to the warmer rainy days of spring, which I am sure are only days away. (After, of course, the latest cold front passes then I am positive it will be spring). So looking ahead to those beautiful days when you will still need to dress warm, but not polar vortex warm, here are a few items to have on stand-by in your closet: 1. Cozy Knits. This has not changed from my winter weather post, however now you may not have to wear 4 layers of thermal underwear underneath your sweater. You can just be cozy in the sweater worn all by itself. 2. Thick Leggings . No leggings are not pants, but they can be worn underneath your long cozy sweaters. Just make sure the sweater comes down to at least mid thigh if you are planning on wearing leggings and no pants. 3. Rubber Boots . Today's Fab February is a hair how-to which is inspired by the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It is soft loose waves which are simple to do, and make you feel glam any day of the week (even if you are not walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that day). Products Needed: - a round brush -blow dryer -velcro rollers (or hot rollers) -paddle brush -thickening mousse - light hold hairspray -shine serum 1. Starting with damp hair scrunch a grapefruit sized handful of mousse from roots to the tips. But make sure you focus on the roots as this is where you want the most volume. I have modified a few products to make it more wearable and affordable for those of us in school; I have also tried to use limited number of brushes. This look should take no more than 5-6 minutes.
