Fab February: Victoria's Secret Hair How-To

How to get Victoria's Secret Model's wavy hair

Today's Fab February is a hair how-to which is inspired by the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show. It is soft loose waves which are simple to do, and make you feel glam any day of the week (even if you are not walking in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show that day).

Products Needed:
- a round brush
-blow dryer
-velcro rollers (or hot rollers)
-paddle brush
-thickening mousse
- light hold hairspray
-shine serum

1. Starting with damp hair scrunch a grapefruit sized handful of mousse from roots to the tips. But make sure you focus on the roots as this is where you want the most volume. Jessie's Picks: Ganier XXL Thickening Mousse.

2. Flip you head upside down  and blow you hair until almost dry. This will give your hair lots of volume.

3. Now flip your head back up and using your round brush blow dry the top of your hair. Use the brush to pull your hair up and out, this will create lift at the roots.

4. Once your hair is pretty much dry, use your paddle brush to create small sections. Take a small section right at the front of your hair (where your bangs would be if you had them); Pull the hair straight up, then grabbing a medium-large velcro/hot roller, place the roller on the backside of the section and roll it down towards the top of your head. If you are a bit confused see the picture of Miranda Kerr above :)

5. Roll the rest of the hair on the top of your head, going back so it looks like you have a mohawk made of rollers. Next roll the sides of your hair away from your face, and continue until all of your hair is rolled.

6. Now leave the rollers to set for 10-20 minutes (if you are using hot rollers leave them until cool to the touch). So now you have time to do your makeup and pick you outfit, etc.

7. After the rollers have set spritz them with a small amount of hairspray and then remove them one by one. Jessie's Picks: Elnett Satin Hairspray. Pantene Medium-Thick Hairspray.

8. After you have taken out all of the rollers flip your hair upside down and run your finger through it to loosen up the curls. Spray the underside of your hair with hairspray to create volume.

9. Flip your hair back up and part it on the side. If you like you can spray your hair with a touch of hairspray, and add a small amount of shine serum through the ends of your hair.

That's the hair done! Tomorrow I will be posting a Victoria's Secret Style Outfits post, and then Monday will be a Victoria's Secret Makeup post.

I hope you enjoyed this hair how-to and if you would like for me to do more hair tutorials please let me know.

Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
