Ooh la la! Luxury beauty products have always been a passion of mine (or addiction, depends who you ask), so I've decided to round up some of my faves and share them with you. All of these products are 1) ones I've used up and repurchased 2) products that I truly believe are worth your hard earned money. Tatcha "The Silk Canvas" Primer:  Welcome to bougie-ville! We've all heard the hype around this product, makeup artists, influencers, bloggers, YouTubers, and aunties everywhere were talking about back in 2018 – and I'm hear to tell you that it's 100% worth the hype!  This primer helps my makeup last, keep my face from getting oily throughout the day, and is like an added step of skincare. Welcome to my February favourites and my first favourites post of 2015! I actually didn't buy any beauty related items in February, so there are just products that I have had for a while and thought that it was about time I get my moneys worth. Favourites this month:  Nivea Creme- This is a super thick moisturizer, rumoured to be used by the Duchess of Cambridge, and it great if you have dry or dehydrated skin. Skin tends to lose its moisture in the winter, as well as during the changes of season. This moisturizer was $1.50 at Target, and you get quite a bit of product. A little goes a long way, it keeps your skin moisturized, and is a great base for makeup.  Revlon Colourstay Concealer in 02 Light- I picked this concealer up in 2 shades 02 Light and 04 Medium that way I don't have to purchase another concealer once I start to get a little more tan. High end makeup can be great! There are always a few products that we are lusting over and that are the latest craze. But what most people aren't lusting over is shelling out $50 plus for one item of makeup. I know that I definitely don't feel right paying that amount unless I have at least 3 items in my basket. Especially when you are in university and/or not working buying high end makeup can seem unreasonable. However here are a few tips and tricks to help you satisfy your expensive makeup craving, but keep your wallet happy as well.  TIP #1: Buy things in travel size.   Not only is it more practical for your budget, travel size products also give you a chance to try out the latest products or cult classics without having to commit to the full size (and full price). There is nothing better then being curled up inside while it is cold, grey and rainy outside. Every time the weather is like this I do the same makeup look. It is a gold and bronze smokey eye, with a peachy/pink cheek, and a neutral or red lip (depending on my mood). It is very simple, and takes about 10-15min. It pairs nicely with grey, black, burgundy and cream coloured clothes, so it is super versatile. It also works with most hairstyles, but I prefer to wear my hair straight with this look, as I just think it looks best on me. Face: 1. Start with a foundation primer and apply it all over your face. Choose one that best fits your skin type and skincare needs. For oily skin, Benefit's The Porefessional is great, it fills in your pores and makes your skin appear airbrushed. Hello everyone! Welcome to Makeup Monday, it is time to break out your berry lip shades as we are going to create and ethereal and earthy makeup look. The focus is on glowing skin and deep berry stained lips. Face: 1. Start off with a moderate to full coverage foundation and apply it with your favourite foundation brush. We want the skin to be as flawless as possible. I used Clinique Even Better Makeup in Golden Neutral, and applied it with a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.  2. Contour the face using a matte bronzer and an angled brush. Focus on contouring underneath the cheekbones, then lightly contour the sides of your forehead and under your jaw. I used the bronzer shade from the Elf Contouring Blush and Bronzer duo in St Lucia .  3. She also had incredible style and makeup, and so today's post is my take on my favourite of her daily makeup looks, which is very natural but polished. I loved her makeup back in July of 2013 and so that is mostly the look I am going to try and recreate.  Face: 1. Take a full coverage concealer, and dot it under your eyes, on any blemishes, or acne scars. Today's Beauty on a Budget is all about pink lipstick. These four lipsticks are my absolute favourite, and as each is a different shade and finish there is something for everyone.  L'Oreal Colour Riche Lipstick in 165 Tickled Pink.  This is a super bright, frosty pink. It has a creamy texture and great lasting power. Beacuse it has such a frosted finish this lipstick isn't to everyone tastes but it suits most skin tones and can be worn with a lot of other colours. Covergirl Lipstick in 445 Pink Chic.  Another frosty pink, this lipstick might not even be available anymore. It is a cool pink, a very baby pink shade with a silvery glitter. This one has a drier formula and semi-matte finish (besides all the glitter). It goes great with cool colours, and works for both summer and winter.  ...

Welcome to my March Favourites 2014 Post! Unlike last month, which was mostly skin and hair care products, this month most of my favourites are beauty products. Only two of these products were actually purchased in the month of March, but they quickly became favourites. My first favourite is Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream , and I have this in the shade Light/Medium Tint. I have not worn foundation since January, instead I've been wearing this everyday. I read about it on Anna Saccone's blog and it is just a magnificent product. This is a gel based BB cream or tinted moisturizer. It has SPF 30 and creamy not too heavy texture. This provides a sheer coverage, however if you do have blemishes or acne scars, use this in conjunction with a heavy duty concealer like Vichy Dermablend or Maybelline Super Stay and it will provide a more natural looking base. You can apply this with your fingers or a brush, and if you have slightly oilier skin it blends beautifully with a powde...

As you shall soon see my biggest drugstore loves are lip sticks. However I did narrow it down to just 6 "items". It's actually more but whatever! Who's counting? 1. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream. This is what I have been wearing as foundation since January. I used it during the summer and than purchased it in a lighter shade and fell in love with it all over again. It can be applied with your fingers or a brush and gives a gorgeous sheer coverage with a glowy finish. This is not for you if you want a lot of coverage from your foundation but if you use a heavy concealer this product is great for layering over top. It never cakes, has an SPF 30 and is oil-free. Welcome to Super Sunday the Spring Edition.  These are the current products in my makeup bag. There are always many different items that are in and out of my bag, but these are the ones that I have been using everyday for the past month.  Avon Perfect Look Color Palette in Cool. This palette comes with four lip colours, four eye shadows, two blushes, and a powder. All of them are for cool toned skin and so are super flattering. I just use the powder from this palette but I like having it around because it gives me options.  Avon Colour Fold Up Palette . I use the darkest blush from this palette, it is a shimmery peachy pink shade. Again another huge palette that contains lots of bright eye  shadows perfect for spring.  Clinique Choco-Latte Eye Shadow Quad . I use the darkest colour from this quad for my brows. I recently picked up a number of lip products as well a few nail polishes and I thought I would share them: These are the lip products I picked up . From L-R: Rimmel Lasting Finish in Asia, Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 14, Rimmel Kate Lasting Finish in 104, Revlon Super Lustrous in Blushing Mauve, Revlon Super Lustrous in Icy Violet, and Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Too Cool. Rimmel Lasting Finish in Asia. This is a mauve/brown shade that is in between Airy Fairy and Paradise. I really like the formula and finishes of Rimmel lip sticks so I think this will be a great daily neutral lip colour. Happy March! I recently reorganized my makeup table and I thought I would share with you what it looks like and how I keep it organized. I will follow up with a post on my blogging table. I apologize for the dark photos but today there was no sunlight as it was snowing and cloudy. Oh these wonderful winter days!  This is my makeup table :) It is actually a computer table with green fabric draped over it. I have decorated it with fake flowers, and my Eiffel Tower shaped jewelry stand (a gift from my brother). I also have some books which I take makeup inspiration from, and little candle holders that I use for my earrings. This is a green plastic organizer I picked up from the Dollar Tree.  I really love the neon green colour because it reminds me of spring and it matches my green fabric. It has 3 different sections which are perfect for my brushes and make them much easier to find and manage. In the back section I keep my hair styling products. I separate my face brushes...
