March Favourites 2014

Welcome to my March Favourites 2014 Post! Unlike last month, which was mostly skin and hair care products, this month most of my favourites are beauty products. Only two of these products were actually purchased in the month of March, but they quickly became favourites.
My first favourite is Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream, and I have this in the shade Light/Medium Tint. I have not worn foundation since January, instead I've been wearing this everyday. I read about it on Anna Saccone's blog and it is just a magnificent product. This is a gel based BB cream or tinted moisturizer. It has SPF 30 and creamy not too heavy texture. This provides a sheer coverage, however if you do have blemishes or acne scars, use this in conjunction with a heavy duty concealer like Vichy Dermablend or Maybelline Super Stay and it will provide a more natural looking base. You can apply this with your fingers or a brush, and if you have slightly oilier skin it blends beautifully with a powder.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting. I've heard this lip butter is similar to the Dior Addict Lip Glow but having not tried it I am not sure. This lip butter does however give your lips a sheer wash of colour. I find this one is subtler than the other lip butters that I own. I guess less opaque would be the word.

Maybelline Dr. Rescue Baby Lips. I apply this to my lips every morning before I put on my makeup, and every night before bed. It keeps my lips soft and hydrated all day.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Stick in Blushing Mauve. I cannot say enough about this lipstick. If I do feel like wearing actual lipstick this is the colour I go for. It is about a shade darker than my natural lip colour. The formula is creamy and it has great staying power. Definitely a great lip colour if you are a fan of the natural makeup look.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzer in Medium/Deep Matte. I got this bronzer as a part of the Beauty Blogger Darlings set which I got for Christmas. Needless to say, I have been using this to contour everyday since December 25th and I love it! It smells like chocolate, has excellent pigmentation. A little bit of this goes a long way! I've been using it for 3 months and haven't even put a dent in it. I will definitely be purchasing a full size one when this has run out.

And finally my only non beauty favourite is the orange and white polka dot scarf from Forever 21. I got this just before school started last fall, and I am wearing it to usher in spring. It is big, it's comfy, and it brightens up my day :)

Hope you enjoyed this post! Sorry for not posting as often but my schedule is currently madness.

xx

New Year's Eve is the perfect day/night to sport sparkling silver eye makeup, and who better to look to than Kim Kardashian. Eyes: 1. Prep your eye with a base. Be it a cream shadow, a paint pot, or an actual eye shadow primer, it does not matter, it just gives the  eye shadow  and glitter something to adhere to. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Primer Potion. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Li

Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Mac Moisturecover Concealer. TheBalm Time Balm Concealer. 3. On a big fluffy face brush buff a matte powder foundation all over your face and down your neck. Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
