Makeup Monday: Country Vacation Makeup

Nude makeup...nudes are fun because you can play around with your eye make-up quite a bit. But what’s even more fun is wearing very little eye make-up and playing up the blush. So simple & pretty!

Hello Everyone! Welcome to Makeup Monday. Today’s makeup look is a simple nude makeup which reminds me of a vacation in the English countryside. It is inspired by earth tones like mossy greens, beiges, mauves, and greys. This makeup is perfect if you are actually going on vacation in the English countryside, or if you just want to sport a fresh light makeup look.

Face:

1. Start with a freshly washed and moisturized face. Directly on top of your moisturizer apply a matte foundation. This will give you a natural looking face, without all of the powder. Jessie’s Picks: Clinique Stay Matte Oil Free Foundation. Maybelline 24hr Super Stay Makeup.

2. Take a cream blush in a rosy pink shade and blend it up along your cheekbone. Using a cream blush will give you more of a glow like you have just come in from the cold outside. Jessie’s Picks: Makeup Forever HD Blush in English Rose. Revlon Photoready Cream Blush in Flushed.

That’s the face done! If you’d like you can dab a sheer highlighter, like Nars Illuminator in Copacabana, across your cheekbone to brighten your face.

Eyes:

1. Start by brushing up your brows with a spoolie, then fill in any sparse areas with a brow powder. Jessie’s Picks: Anastasia Brow Powder Duo. Clinique Brow Shaper.

2. Dust your eye lids with a shimmery eye shadow one shadow lighter than your skintone. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Naked Lunch. Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Virgin.

3. Contour your eyes using a moss green eye shadow through your crease. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Fiction (Limited Edition). Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Mildew.

4. Line your top lashline with a brown eye liner pencil. Jessie's Picks: Essence Long Last Eye Liner Pencil in Hot Chocolate. Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Whisky.

5. Curl your lashes, and apply a coat of dark brown mascara. Jessie's Picks: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Black/Brown. Dior Diorshow Waterproof Mascara in Chestnut.

Lips:

1. Moisturize you lips and add a slight tint by using a tinted lip balm. Jessie's Picks: Dior Creme de Rose Plumping and Smoothing Lip Balm. Korres Lip Butter.

I hope you enjoyed this makeup look and that it keeps you looking forward to those days filled with sunshine.

xx

I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
