Fab February: Review of Benefit's They're Real Mascara

For today's Fab February I thought I would do a makeup review, because I don't think I have done one in a while (or at all?). I purchased this mascara in October and since then I have a had  love/hate relationship with it. Let me start off by saying that I LOVED Benefit's BadGal Lash Mascara. Like literally loved it. But I had read really good reviews about this mascara and the lady at Sephora told me she like it way more than the BadGal. So giving in to makeup pressure I bought it, and the first time I tried it I hated it. I tried it a million different ways and I just could not avoid the skinny spidery lash look, which I despise (unless it is intentional like for fashion week). So I put it away and let it sit for a while thinking that maybe the formula just needed to dry out a little bit. And I was right! I started using it again in December and at that point the consistency was perfect. The formula was less wet so it volumized and curled my lashes rather than making them skinny wet spidery ones.

The wand on this mascara is fantastic it really gets every lash and coats it with inky black colour. It is a shiny finish, not matte like BadGal, and it does a great job of lenthening, seperating, and holding curl. The only downside is that this is a killer to get off. I use heavy duty eye makeup remover and it still struggles to remove this mascara. I have also found that if your don't take it all off your eye lashes will start to get thinner and fall out.
So to conclude, this is not my favourite mascara, and I would not repurchase it or recommend it to anyone with long eyelashes. I will finish the tube, because I can't justify buying a new mascara with this perfectly fine one sitting there, but I think I will just repurchase the good old BadGal Lash Mascara.

I hope this review helped anyone looking for a new mascara and contemplating buying They're Real. I always try to only put out positivity on my blog, but I also did not want to misrepresent this product. All of the above opinions are my own and hope this review helped you on your quest for your HG mascara.

Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
