Fab February: Kim Kardashian Bridal Shower Makeup

[[Popular People]] Kim Kardashian's Bridal Shower Makeup Tutorial | Makeup By Night

Welcome to day three of Fab February. Today's makeup look is inspired by Kim Kardashians' bridal shower makeup. Yes, I know that her marriage only lasted 72 days but that was almost 3 years ago and her bridal shower makeup is still gorgeous 3 years later. So why not do a pretty makeup in the midst of cold and blustery February. This makeup look has a nice flawless base, warm eyes, and sweet pink lips.

Face:
1. Start with a moisturizing primer and blend it all over your face with your fingers or a brush. Unless it is actually your bridal shower you don't have to use a photo friendly primer, so don't worry about finding one. Jessie's Picks: Smashbox Photo Finish Hydrating Foundation Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Nourishing Primer.

2. Pick a sheer to medium coverage luminous foundation and apply it with a buffing brush. Jessie's Picks: L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation. Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation.

3. Next take a pink cream blush and blend it along your cheekbones to create a fresh and youthful glow. Jessie's Picks: Maybelline Dream Mousse Blush in Pink Frosting. Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge for Lips and Cheeks in Pale Pink.

4. Set your makeup with a luminous finish powder and a big fluffy brush using a big fluffy brush. Jessie's Picks: Clinique Stay Matte Sheer Pressed Powder. Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder.

5. Fill in your eye brows with a matching powder or pencil, and set with a clear brow gel. Jessie's Picks: Benefit Speed Brow. Anastasia Brow Gel.

Eyes:
1. Start with a matte cream coloured cream eye shadow or paint pot. Jessie's Picks: Clinique Touch Base For Eyes in Canvas Light. Mac Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre.

2. Using a flat eye shadow brush apply a matte cream coloured eye shadow all over your eye lid. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Brule. Bobbi Brown Eye Shadow in Bone.

3. On a crease brush blend a bronze eye shadow (shimmery or matte which ever your preference) through your crease bringing it up onto your brow bone. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Eye Shadow in Sunkissed. Mac Eye Shadow in Coppering.

4. On the same brush take a dark brown eye shadow and apply in your crease to darken the colour. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Swiss Chocolate. Too Faced Eye Shadow in Tanline.

5. Going back to your flat eye shadow brush and add a small amount of shimmery white eye shadow under neath your eye brow. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Vanilla. Too Faced Eye Shadow in Porcelain.

6. Take a black liquid or gel eye liner and line your top lash line creating a small flick. Make sure to bring the eye liner right into the inner corner. Jessie's Picks: Mac Fluidline in Blacktracks. Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner Pen.

7. Go in with a white or nude eye liner and line your lower waterline. Jessie's Picks: NYX Eye Pencil in Milk. Rimmel Scandal Eyes in Nude.

7. Curl your eye lashes and apply 2-3 coats of a black mascara. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara. Benefit They're Real Mascara.

Lips:
1. Line your lips with a waxy pink lip liner to create full lips like Kim's. Jessie's Picks: Yves Rocher Lip Pencil in Rose. Smashbox The Nude Lip Liner.

2. Fill in your lips with a creamy pink lipstick or lipgloss. Jessie's Picks: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip Stick in Airy Fairy. YSL Gloss Volupte in Rose Jersey.

This makeup is defintely heavier on the eyes, and may be a bit or lot more than what most people wear on an everyday basis. I quite like this eye makeup look and am planning on wearing soon. Until next time!

Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
