Fab February: Angelina Jolie Makeup Look

Welcome to the first day of Fab February! I was at the movie theatre yesterday and I saw the trailer for Angelina Jolie's new film Maleficent, and I thought why not do an Angelina Jolie makeup tutorial. So today's look is based on the picture above, and I will be using the Tarte Beauty and the Box Eye Shadow Quad in In the Buff. These eye shadows are amazing, they are so smooth and silky and have excellent pigmentation. I have been using this quad for over a year, and it is perfect for neutral makeup looks. The colours compliment any eye colour, but blue eyes will especially benefit from the bronzey shades.
Alright enough rambling here is the Angelina Jolie inspired makeup look:

Face:
1. Start with your favourite sheer-medium coverage foundation or tinted moisturizer and blend it all over your face and down your neck. Jessie's Picks: L'Oreal True Match Lumi Foundation. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Oil-Free.

2. Apply a highlighting concealer in a V-shape underneath your eyes, fanned out (like a tree) in the centre of your forehead, down the centre of your nose, and on your chin; then blend it out softly with your fingers or a brush. This will create that really nice Angelina Jolie bone structure. Jessie's Picks: Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer and Highlighter. YSL Touche Eclat Radiance.

3. To further emphasize that bone structure take a matte bronzer on a contour brush and apply to the hollows of your cheeks, sides of your nose, under you jaw, and the sides of your forehead. As for brushes Real Techniques has a great contour brush and the MAC 109 is another great one. Jessie's Picks: Benefit Hoola Bronzer. Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Bronzing Powder.

4. Take a matte light pink blush and apply it only to your cheekbones blending upwards. Don't apply it to the apples of your cheeks as this will make you face appear rounder. Jessie's Picks: Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush in Pink Frosting. Clinique Cheek Pop in Plum Pop.

5. Set your face with a luminous pressed powder and spritz with a setting spray. Jessie's Picks: Sleek Luminous Pressed Powder. Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray.

Eyes:

Just so you know which shades I am talking about.
1. Start by applying your favourite eye shadow primer, or concealer, all over your eye lid. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Shadow Insurance. Urban Decay Primer Potion.

2. Using a fluffy eye shadow brush apply Sunkissed all over your eye lid, but focus on the outer half of your lid.

3. Using the same brush add a little bit of Silk Sheets to the inner half of your eye lid.

4. On a small eye liner or accent brush apply a small amount of Tanline along your lower lashline.

5. Take a black kohl eye pencil and run it along the outer third of your upper lash line. Jessie's Picks: L'Oreal Smoldering Eye Kohl. Maybelline Line Express Eye Liner.

6. Again using your small eye liner or accent brush, take Tanline and softly smudge the eye liner you just applied to soften the look.

7. Tightline your upper waterline with a black gel eye liner. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Liner. Maybelline Gel Eye Liner.

8. Curl your lashes and apply a volumizing mascara. Jessie's Picks: Benefit BadGal Lash Mascara. Benefit They're Real Mascara.

Lips:
1. Line your lips using a soft pink lip liner. To make your lips appear larger like Angelina's line slightly outside of your natural lip line. Jessie's Picks: Yves Rocher Couleurs Nature Lip Pencil in 01 Rose. Maybelline Color Sensational Lip Liner in Pink.

2. Swipe on a creamy pink lip stick. Jessie's Picks: Rimmel Lasting Finish Lip Stick in Airy Fairy. Maybelline Lip Stick in Born With It.

3. On your ring finger take a small amount of Porcelain eye shadow and dab it onto the centre of your bottom lip, to create the illusion of fuller lips.

There we have it: Angelina Jolie makeup. Who doesn't want to look like a bombshell now and again? I timed this makeup look and it took 11 minutes from start to finish. Hope you enjoyed this makeup look!

I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
