Jessica Alba is the Queen of casual style. So today's hair and makeup duo is all inspired by her. And as you probably guessed from the pictures, it is going to be a simple ponytail and fresh faced makeup look (my favourite!). This look can work any day of the week but  Mondays and Fridays instantly come to mind. So here we go and hope you enjoy:

Let's start with the hair:
This look works best on day old hair, but you have just gotten out of the shower, scrunch a thickening mousse through your hair and then blow dry smooth with a paddle brush.
Regardless of where you started take a large paddle brush and brush your hair back into a high ponytail. Now you can either pull your hair back super sleek or looser and more casual, both work for this look and as it is casual Sunday do which ever makes you feel more comfortable. Slightly tease your ponytail to create volume. And voila! That is the hair done.

Now onto the makeup:

Face:
1. Start with a tinted moisturizer or BB cream and blend it all over your face and down your neck using your fingers. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer. Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream.
2. Next, using your ring finger, blend a highlighting concealer under your eyes, around your nose, and on any other spots that need brightening. Jessie's Picks: Rimmel Match Perfection 2 in 1 Concealer. YSL Touche Eclat.
3. Blend a soft peach cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks and then blend upwards along your cheekbones. You can use your fingers or a brush for this. Jessie's Picks: Maybelline Dream Mousse blush in Peach Satin. Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Rude.

Eyes:
1. Using a fluffy eye shadow brush buff a light matte brown eye shadow all over your eye lid. Jessie's Picks: Mac Eye Shadow in Omega or Wedge. Urban Decay Eye Shadow in Naked.
2. Curl your eye lashes and apply black/brown volumizing mascara. Jessie's Picks: Benefit Cosmetics BadGal Lash Mascara. Maybelline Great Lash Mascara.
3. Using a waxy brow pencil fill in any sparse areas of your brows. Jessie's Picks: Anastasia Brow Wiz. Benefit Cosmetics Instant Brow Pencil.

Lips:
1. Swipe on a sheer lip stick or tinted lip balm in a shade that is close to your natural lip colour. Jessie's Picks: Rwvon Colorburst Lip Butter in Sugar Frosting. Too Faced La Creme in Nude Beach.

This casual duo should take no more than 10-15 minutes. Perfect for those days when you have hit the snooze button a few times. I hope this was helpful and that you will use this duo sometime.

xx

Whatever Wednesdays: Victoria Beckham Hair How-To

Victoria Beckham Ponytail: With her long dark brown hair, Victoria Beckham's hairstyle of choice has become the ponytail. This style is quick, and ultra chic. 1. Start with day-old hair (or even if you are starting with freshly washed hair) and spritz with a volumizing dry shampoo. 2. Pull your hair back with your fingers, smoothing over any stray hairs. 3. Once you have your ponytail in the desired place, fasten with a hair tie. 4. Take your straightener and run it over the ends of your ponytail, to give it a sleek effect. 5. Add a tiny dot of shine serum to the ends. Simply rub the serum between your palms, and run your hands over the end of your ponytail. Voila! Tu es fini, and you have a simple and chic hairdo. xx JD Please leave me a comment let me know what you think!  If you have any questions or suggestions: Email me: jessicadonna96@gmail.com

Throwback Everyday Makeup Tutorial

Hello everyone! If you know me, you'll know that I have a slight makeup problem... I have way too much! But I can't help it, I just love it so, and I honestly look forward to putting my makeup on every morning. So today I decided I would do a quick post on my fave go to glam look for daytime. It looks quite heavy, but because I'm using mineral makeup it feels like I'm wearing no face makeup at all! My skin is quite sensitive and dry, so for the longest time I thought that mineral makeup wouldn't work for my skin, but boy was I wrong! I was at Winners recently and saw that they had a couple Bellapierre Cosmetics mineral makeup sets on sale for $14... So I thought I'd try it out, and now I can never go back to regular liquid foundations! Mineral makeup is considered to be better for your skin as it is natural, and usually only contains 3-4 natural ingredients. Bellapierre foundation has an SPF of 15 which can cause a little bit of flashback, so if ...
