"Feeling Sick" Day Makeup

Hi everyone! Today's makeup look is for those days when you aren't feeling to well and you want to apply some makeup to help you look (and sometimes feel) better. I think that on days like this it is super important to use products that you know and love. This will help prevent any frustration or added annoyance when applying your makeup because you will know how each item "behaves". For this look I used minimal eye makeup as well as multitasking face products that way you don't feel like you have a thick layer of foundation lying on top of your skin.

Skin/Base:
1. Before I started I applied a mattifying moisturizer, and a thick lip salve to prep my skin and lips.

2. Starting off I applied Garnier Skin Perfector BB Cream in Light/Medium to my face and blended it out with my fingers. Your fingers are the best blenders and give you a sheer controlled coverage. This product can act as your primer, concealer and tinted moisturizer.

3. Next I take my Rimmel Bronzer in 22 Sun Bronze, and using a fluffy face brush I dust it wherever the sun naturally hits my face: along my jawline, sides of my forehead, down my nose, and across my cheekbones.

4. Moving on to blush, choose a bright pink or coral shade to help brighten your complexion and give you a fresh youthful glow. I chose a bright baby pink blush and using the same face brush applied the blush in upwards stokes along my cheekbones, as well as onto the apples of my cheeks.

5. For your eyes choose an eyeshadow palette which has matte and shimmer finishes and that you know works for you. I chose my NYC Custom Compact Eyeshadow Quad in Union Square. This is the first eye shadow quad I bought for myself and I love the consistency of the shadows. First I took the matte cream shade and applied that to the inner corners of my eyes to brighten up the eye area. Next I took the matte brown and applied just into my crease to provide a little bit of definition.

6. Next take a black or brown kohl eye liner pencil and line the outer third of your upper lashline. Then take either the smudgey tip on the other side of the eye liner or a fluffy eye shadow brush and blend out that line so it becomes a shadow. I used Maybelline Line Express Eye Liner in Black.

7. Curl your eyelashes and apply your favourite mascara. I used Maybelline Great Lash Big Mascara in Brownish/Black.

8. Pick a matte or semi-matte lipstick in a bright pink or coral shade and apply it to your lips. I used Rimmel Kate Lipstick in 104.

That is the completed look, if you would like to see exactly how I did it please watch the video below.

xx

New Year's Eve is the perfect day/night to sport sparkling silver eye makeup, and who better to look to than Kim Kardashian. Eyes: 1. Prep your eye with a base. Be it a cream shadow, a paint pot, or an actual eye shadow primer, it does not matter, it just gives the  eye shadow  and glitter something to adhere to. Jessie's Picks: Urban Decay Primer Potion. Jessie's Picks: Bobbi Brown Gel Eye Li

Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Her hair and makeup is always flawless, nice and bronzed.  So I thought it would be perfect for spring and to warm us all up. If you want to check out Anna's blog click  here  (her blog is obviously in Norwegian so you'll have to press the translate button). I searched her blog and tried to use the same products that she does. Let's get started on her makeup look! Face: 1. Start with your favourite face primer. Jessie's Picks: Too Faced Primed and Poreless Skin Smoothing Primer. Korres Greek Yoghurt Face Primer. 2. Next apply your concealer underneath your eyes and on any blemishes. Jessie's Picks: Mac Moisturecover Concealer. TheBalm Time Balm Concealer. 3. On a big fluffy face brush buff a matte powder foundation all over your face and down your neck. Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
