10 Minute Winter Makeup

This look is perfect for winter or late autumn, it gives you that "just stepped in from the cold" look. It'll take you no longer than ten minutes, which is nice when it is dark in the morning, or on those days when you favour sleep over beauty.

Face:
1. Start with a nourishing/hydrating face primer. In the winter our skin tends to get dryer, and is more exposed to the harsh elements such as wind, snow and the drying heat. Jessie's Picks: Hourglass No28 Primer, this primer is amazing, it starts out quite oily, but it does absorb very quickly into the skin.

2. Buff a light reflecting foundation or a cream foundation into the skin. Pick a foundation that is more hydrating and gives a dewy finish. This will help you look more healthy admist all the drying heat and wind of the winter.  (If you need to apply a creamy, highlighting concealer) Jessie's Picks: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation. Mac Studio Tech Foundation.

3. Apply a baby pink blush to your cheeks. Think of where you flush when you have just been out in the cold. Jessie's Picks: Benefit's Dandelion Blush. Avon Ideal Luminous Blush in Antique Rose.

4. If you have oily skin you can apply a very finely milled setting powder, or you can leave the makeup as is to keep that dewy glow. If you want to keep the dewiness, but are still concerned about oil control or staying power, try a makeup setting spray, Urban Decay has a variety of them, and they are all vegan :)

Eyes:
1. Apply a matte nude cream shadow/eye shadow primer all over the eye area. If you can't find one/ don't have one just apply your concealer over your eye area. Jessie's Picks: Mac Paint Pot in Soft Ochre. Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Too Cool (This does have a slight shimmer).

2. Tightline your upper lashline with a black eyeliner. Smudge the liner into your lashes to make them appear fuller and thicker.

3. Curl your eyelashes, if don't have a pair of eyelash curlers, you can use a cold spoon.

4. Apply two coats of a rich matte black mascara. Jessie's Picks: My absolute favourite is Benefit's BadGal Mascara. L'Oreal Voluminous Mascara (Original).

Lips:
1. Apply a red lipstain, or a red tinted lip balm (Nivea has a very nice one). If you have neither, take a red lipstick, dab it on your lips, and blend out with your fingers, apply a lipbalm over top and voila! Your own diy lipstain.

So start your stopwatches and look beautiful and natural in less than 10 minutes
xx

Fab February: Anna Edwin Makeup

Anna Edwin is a Norwegian blogger. She began her blog in 2009 and she blogs about everything from hair to bowling (well maybe not actually bowling). Makeup Monday: Victoria Beckham Makeup Look

Victoria Beckham is a style icon, and personally one of my top fashion and beauty inspirations. Her fashion line boasts beautiful structure and lines. One half of Britain's "other royal family" Victoria rules the fashion world with an iron fist, having recently launched another successful denim and accessories line. Her makeup hasn't changed much from her Posh Spice days, it has only become more chic and polished. Her signature smokey eye and nude lip can be adapted for any event, outfit, day or night. Here is a lighter daytime version of her signature look that Victoria has been sporting more and more often. Face: 1. Victoria has oily skin so a primer is a must. Pop a little all over your face, making sure to blend down your neck. Jessie's Pick: Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer 2. Smooth a cream foundation over your face, blending it down your neck. Jessie's Picks: Laura Mercier Crème Smooth Foundation or Rimmel Match Perfection Cream Foundation. 3. Dot
